We delivered a robotic assembly solution for a steel manufacturer, designing and commissioning a conveyor-based production line to automate the construction of metal trusses. The system assembles trusses of varying lengths using high-speed screw fastening technology to securely join components with precision and repeatability.
Our scope included concept design, mechanical and controls integration, programming, safety systems, and commissioning. The robotic workflow ensures accurate alignment and consistent fastening, significantly reducing manual labour and variability while increasing throughput.
The result is a streamlined process that produces fully pre-constructed, lightweight steel trusses ready for use in building construction, including residential housing. By automating assembly, the manufacturer benefits from improved quality, faster production cycles, safer operations, and the flexibility to handle custom truss designs with minimal changeover time.
